It is a matter of common knowledge, that today is the so-called Earth day. So I decided to take part in it, by completing a two-minute test and making myself aware of how big my ecological footprint is (which is, for your information, measured in global hectares).
This Ecological Footprint Quiz estimates how much productive land and water you need to support what you use and what you discard. After answering 15 easy questions you’ll be able to compare your Ecological Footprint to what other people use and to what is available on this planet.
CAUTION: THIS QUIZ MAY SURPRISE YOU, SHOCK YOU, OR MAKE YOU THINK. PLEASE REMAIN CALM…BUT NOT TOO CALM!!
Here’s what I found out today:
- My ecological footprint (here in Sweden) is 4.7 global hectares
- World-wide, there are only 1.8 global hectares per person
- If everyone lived like I do, we would need 2.5 planets
Well, nothing incredibly stunning or shocking to me. All I know is that we all going to die one day. Of age or of pollution – I don’t really care that much. Death is inevitable. But there is a way to make sure you do not evaporate into eternal void of meaninglessness after your last breath. Jesus is the answer!
Have a nice day!
